The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003): Summer

lizzie mcguire movie

I will start by saying that this movie is not for everyone. It’s a Disney Channel masterpiece that features the best of early 00’s nostalgia. I’m not claiming it’s good, but it’s charming and if you grew up (or had your children grow up) in the right era, it’s a classic. The movie follows teenage girl, Lizzie, as she goes on a summer trip to Italy with her class. She arrives dreaming of adventure, and she gets it when she discovers that she has a doppleganger in the form of an Italian pop star. The movie requires you to suspend logic, but it has some great shots of Rome and is just a generally fun film. It’s a way to see Europe if you aren’t able to go over there yourself.
