It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was a time when teen sensations all had three names. This is a horror movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar in her prime, the Buffy years. It also stars Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr. What an era. Anyway, this movie follows a group of teens who are involved in a hit and run. They decide to dispose of the body, only to later discover someone knows what they did and is out for revenge. This movie didn’t fare well critically, but was well received by audiences. Enough to spawn a couple of sequels and word on the street is we should be getting a remake sometime this year. This movie doesn’t have a HUGE summery feel, despite it being set in the summer. Since it’s a horror movie there is a darker tone, but it’s set in a seaside town so there’s still a hint of it. It’s still a fun watch if you want a horror movie set in the summer. I’m probably going to tag this as halloween too, but to be honest this isn’t one that I watch that time of year.
