“Arnold’s Halloween” Season 2, Episode 11
Arnold and Gerald decide to play a prank on Grandpa, by tricking him into believing aliens have landed. However, when the fake broadcast gets leaked, the entire town goes into a panic. I have to say one thing that always pains me in this episode is what a dick Helga’s dad is. I think I didn’t notice it so much as a kid, but like he’s such a douche, you kind of get why Helga is the way she is. This episode is wonderful because it’s a great tribute to War of the Worlds and the panic it incited when it first aired. The episode is also full of jack-o-lanterns and costumes and aliens and is brimming with Halloween tricks and treats. It’s a part of the Nicktoons Halloween DVD collection that was like $5 on amazon.
